Call for Papers for the Ninth Forum on the Theory and Practice of Ruling Party Building

In order to deeply study, publicize and implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, and to profoundly grasp the missions and tasks of the Communist Party of China on the new journey of the New Era, the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Chongqing University will jointly host the "Ninth Forum on the Theory and Practice of Ruling Party Building" in Chongqing from April 15 to 17, 2023. We sincerely invite academic colleagues and Party affairs workers to write papers around the forum theme and attend the conference for discussion.

为深入学习宣传贯彻党的二十大精神，深刻领会新时代新征程中国共产党的使命任务，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院、重庆大学将于2023年4月15日至17日在重庆市联合主办“第九届执政党建设理论与实践论坛”，诚邀学界同仁和党务工作者围绕论坛主题撰写论文并拨冗赴会研讨。

Deeply advancing the great new project of Party building in the New Era [1]1 The "great new project of Party building" refers to the Party's ongoing effort to strengthen itself organizationally, ideologically, and institutionally, a concept originally introduced by Mao Zedong in 1939 and updated for the New Era.

1. The forum charges no registration fee. Participating representatives shall bear their own round-trip transportation and accommodation costs. Paper invitation letters can be collected on-site after the afternoon session on April 16.

1.论坛不收取会务费，与会代表往返交通费和住宿费自理。纸质邀请函请在4月16日下午会议结束后现场领取。

2. Papers and the attendance confirmation form (see the appendix to this notice) should be sent to the email address djcass@sina.com before March 31, 2023. The conference affairs group will send formal invitations based on the quality of the manuscripts.

2.征文和参会回执（见本启事附件）请于2023年3月31日前发至邮箱djcass@sina.com。会务组将根据文稿质量发送正式邀请。

3. The forum selects participants based on papers. After the conference, outstanding papers will be selected for publication in a collected volume or recommended to relevant core journals. The electronic file name of the paper should be "Author Name + School (Unit) + Article Title." Submissions should choose their own topic and angle around the theme, and must adhere to the correct political direction and academic orientation. Papers must be unpublished research results, with a length of 6,000–10,000 characters recommended. They should be formatted using Word software, include 3–5 keywords and an abstract of no more than 300 characters. Citations should use footnotes at the bottom of each page, renumbered per page. Specifically, follow the publication format of *Studies on Marxism*. At the end of the article, please include the author's biography, title, position, contact phone number, email address, etc.

3.论坛以文参会，会后将择优结集出版或推荐给有关核心期刊。论文电子版文件名为“作者姓名+学校（单位）+文章标题”。来稿请围绕主题自选题目、自选角度，务必坚持正确的政治方向和学术导向；论文须为未公开发表的研究成果，篇幅在6000-10000字为宜，请采用word软件编排，并附3-5个关键词和300字以内内容摘要，引文采用页下脚注，每页重新编号。具体请以《马克思主义研究》杂志的刊发格式为准。文末请附作者简介、职称、职务、联系电话、电子邮箱等。

4. In case of special circumstances, the forum schedule may be adjusted accordingly. Registered participants should maintain contact with the organizers in a timely manner.
