Call for Papers for the 11th Forum on the International Communist Movement

The report of the 20th National Congress of the CPC points out: “From now on, the central task of the Communist Party of China is to unite and lead the people of all ethnic groups across the country to comprehensively build a great modern socialist country, achieve the second centenary goal, and comprehensively advance the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-path modernization.” [1]1 The “second centenary goal” refers to the goal of building China into a great modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious, and beautiful by the middle of the 21st century, the centenary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The first centenary goal (the centenary of the founding of the CPC in 2021) was to complete the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects. 2023 is the first year for the comprehensive implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC. Looking at the world, the international landscape has undergone significant changes, which will have an important impact on the international communist movement and world socialism. Against this backdrop, the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Yunnan University will jointly host the 11th Forum on the International Communist Movement, inviting relevant domestic experts and scholars as well as foreign experts and scholars from Vietnam, Laos, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Japan, and other countries to discuss and exchange views around the theme “The World Socialist Movement in the New Period of Turbulence and Transformation and Chinese-Path Modernization,” in order to promptly grasp new developments in the international communist movement and world socialism, and to deeply understand the interconnections between socialism with Chinese characteristics and world socialism.

党的二十大报告指出：“从现在起，中国共产党的中心任务就是团结带领全国各族人民全面建成社会主义现代化强国、实现第二个百年奋斗目标，以中国式现代化全面推进中华民族伟大复兴。”2023年是全面贯彻落实党的二十大精神的开局之年。放眼世界，国际格局发生了显著变化，将对国际共产主义运动和世界社会主义产生重要影响。在这样的背景下，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院和云南大学将共同举办第十一届国际共产主义运动论坛，邀请国内相关专家学者和越南、老挝、意大利、比利时、瑞士、日本等国外专家学者参加，围绕“新的动荡变革期世界社会主义运动与中国式现代化”进行研讨和交流，以期及时把握国际共产主义运动和世界社会主义发展新动态，并深刻理解中国特色社会主义与世界社会主义的相互联系。

This forum will also hold a new book launch.

V. Paper Submission Requirements

五、论文撰写要求

Participation in this forum is by paper submission. The organizers will organize experts to review the papers. Invitation letters will be sent to authors of selected papers, and outstanding papers will be recommended for publication in *Marxist Studies* and *World Socialist Studies*. [2]2 *Marxist Studies* and *World Socialist Studies* are Chinese academic journals published by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, focusing on Marxist theory and world socialism respectively. Paper submission requirements: closely adhere to the theme, correct viewpoints, and emphasize academic rigor; the length should be controlled within 10,000 characters, and include the author’s academic resume, paper abstract, keywords, and contact information; format should follow the requirements of the journal *Marxist Studies*. Papers should be sent to the conference email address: gjgylt2013@163.com before June 10, with the email subject line indicating “Author’s Name + Title.”

此次论坛以文入会，主办方将组织专家对论文进行评审，届时将向入选作者发会议邀请函，并择优推荐给《马克思主义研究》《世界社会主义研究》。论文撰写要求：紧扣主题，观点正确，突出学术性；篇幅控制在10000字以内，并附作者学术简历、论文摘要、关键词和联系方式；格式请参照《马克思主义研究》杂志要求。论文请于6月10日前发到会议邮箱：gjgylt2013@163.com，邮件主题请注明“作者姓名+篇名”。
