Notice on the 2023 National Excellent College Student Summer Camp of the School of Marxism, University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences

The School of Marxism of the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was established in October 2017. It is a second-level college specifically engaged in teaching and research in fields related to Marxist theory. It is responsible for the teaching of ideological and political theory courses for all undergraduate and graduate students of the university, as well as the teaching, research, talent cultivation, enrollment, employment, and student management work for the two undergraduate majors of Marxist theory and ideological and political education.

中国社会科学院大学马克思主义学院成立于2017年10月，是专门从事马克思主义理论相关专业教学与科研的二级学院，负责全校本科生及研究生思想政治理论课教学及马克思主义理论、思想政治教育两个本科专业的教学科研、人才培养、招生就业、学生管理等工作任务。

In September 2020, a college integrating science and education was formed through the deep integration of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the School of Marxism of the university. Professor Xin Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, serves as the Dean. The college has a strong faculty, including 5 honorary academicians, 4 academicians, 12 distinguished professors, 15 long-term professors, over 40 teachers in distinguished positions, 45 undergraduate academic advisors, and 113 doctoral supervisors for the core cadre of Marxism. Relying on the college, it hosts the Ministry of Education's Innovation and Development Center for Ideological and Political Work in Higher Education Institutions, the Beijing Humanities and Social Sciences Research Center, the 21st Century Contemporary Chinese Marxism Higher Research Institute, and the Higher Research Institute for Ideological and Political Education.

2020年9月，由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院和大学马克思主义学院深度融合构建科教融合学院，由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院党委书记、院长辛向阳教授担任院长。学院师资力量雄厚，拥有荣誉学部委员5人，学部委员4人；特聘教授12人，长聘教授15人，特聘岗位教师40余人，本科生学业导师45人，马骨干博士生导师113人。依托学院建有教育部高校思想政治工作创新发展中心、北京市人文社会科学研究中心中心、21世纪当代中国马克思主义高等研究院、思想政治教育高等研究院等。

To promote exchanges among outstanding college students from various universities, enhance students' understanding of the School of Marxism of the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and select outstanding undergraduate students to continue pursuing master's degrees in related majors at our university, our school plans to hold an Excellent College Student Summer Camp in late July or early August 2023. All students are welcome to actively sign up!

为促进各高校优秀大学生之间的交流，增进学生对中国社会科学院大学马克思主义学院的了解，选拔优秀大学本科生到我校继续攻读相关专业的硕士，我院拟于2023年7月下旬或8月上旬举办优秀大学生夏令营活动，欢迎广大同学踊跃报名！

Applicants must have a strong interest in fields such as the basic principles of Marxism, the history of Marxist development, ideological and political education, and Party building. They must intend to pursue academic master's degrees in scientific socialism and the international communist movement, basic principles of Marxism, history of Marxist development, study of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context, ideological and political education, and Party building. They must possess strong independent research abilities, comprehensive analysis and problem-solving skills, and meet the following conditions:

申请者须对马克思主义基本原理、马克思主义发展史、思想政治教育、党的建设等领域有浓厚兴趣，有意攻读科学社会主义与国际共产主义运动、马克思主义基本原理、马克思主义发展史、马克思主义中国化研究、思想政治教育、党的建设学术硕士学位，具有较强的独立研究能力，综合分析与解决问题的能力，且满足以下条件：

1. Support the leadership of the Communist Party of China, support the socialist system, and be willing to serve socialist modernization; have good moral character, abide by laws and regulations, and be in good health.

1.拥护中国共产党的领导，拥护社会主义制度，愿为社会主义现代化建设服务；道德品质良好，遵纪守法，身体健康。

2. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students in their third year (class of 2024 graduates). In principle, they should be students majoring in Marxist theory or ideological and political education, but outstanding students from other related disciplines are also welcome to apply across majors.

2.申请人须是全日制本科在读三年级学生（2024届毕业生），原则上应为马克思主义理论、思想政治教育相关专业学生，同时也欢迎其他相关学科优秀学生跨专业申请。

3. The applicant's average grade point ranking in the first five semesters of undergraduate study should be approximately within the top 20% of their major, and they should be expected to qualify for graduate school admission without examination. If any of the following conditions are met, the grade point ranking requirement may be appropriately relaxed:

① Have conducted some research in a certain aspect of their undergraduate major, with publicly published research papers or works related to the applied major, reaching a relatively high level;

② Have participated in social practice activities and produced investigation reports of significant value;

④ Have studied at a well-known overseas university for one year or more;

4. Good English proficiency. English proficiency must generally meet any one of the following:

6. One copy of the Summer Camp Registration Statistics Form (download and fill in from the attachment).

Applicants should arrange the application materials in order, merge them into a single PDF document. The Summer Camp Registration Statistics Form does not need to be merged. Send to mxy-ucass@cass.org.cn. File name: Summer Camp Registration—Applicant Name—Applicant's University. The deadline for receiving application materials is 4:00 PM on July 15, 2023.

This summer camp plans to recruit approximately 60 participants. The college will organize experts to conduct a preliminary qualification review and select the list of summer camp participants based on merit. The review results will be notified to selected candidates via email, phone, or text message. Those not selected will not be further notified.

本次夏令营计划招收营员60人左右。学院将组织专家进行资格预审，择优确定参加夏令营的营员名单。审核结果将通过邮件、电话或短信等方式通知入选者，未入选者，不再另行通知。
