Call for Papers: Academic Forum on “Party Leadership and Chinese-Path Modernization” and New Book Launch for the “Centenary Party History Experience Series”

To deeply study, research, and expound Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, to deeply and systematically research and elucidate Party leadership and Chinese-path modernization, and to enhance academic exchange among researchers of Marxist theory, the Academic Forum on “Party Leadership and Chinese-Path Modernization” and New Book Launch for the “Centenary Party History Experience Series” is co-hosted by the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Jinan Publishing House, co-organized by the Department of Research on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Jinan Publishing House, and the School of Marxism of the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and co-sponsored by *Marxist Studies*, *Studies on World Socialism*, and the Beijing Municipal Party Committee’s *Frontline* magazine. It is scheduled to be held in Jinan on Saturday, July 29, 2023. We are now soliciting academic papers from across the country. Experts, scholars, and graduate students in the research fields of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Marxism, adapting Marxism to the Chinese context, and the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics are welcome to attend with their papers.

为深入学习研究阐释习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想和党的二十大精神，深入系统研究和阐释党的领导与中国式现代化，增进马克思主义理论研究工作者的学术交流，由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院、济南出版社联合主办，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院马克思主义中国化研究部、济南出版社、中国社会科学院大学马克思主义学院联合承办，由《马克思主义研究》《世界社会主义研究》、中共北京市委《前线》杂志等协办的“党的领导与中国式现代化”学术论坛暨“党的百年奋斗历史经验丛书”新书推介会，拟于2023年7月29日（星期六）在济南举行。现面向全国征集学术论文，欢迎习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想、马克思主义、马克思主义中国化、中国特色社会主义理论等研究领域的专家学者、研究生等以文赴会。

V. Relevant Notes: The conference will not charge registration fees or meal fees. Transportation, accommodation, and book purchase expenses during the conference are at participants’ own expense (corresponding invoices are available). The academic forum is set up in the main venue of the Book Fair; during the event, participants can arrange their own schedules and visit the Book Fair free of charge.

VI. Introduction to the 31st National Book Trade Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Book Fair):

The Jinan Book Fair will be held from July 27 to 31 at the Jinan Shandong International Exhibition Center (adjacent to Jinan West Railway Station). This Book Fair, themed “Forging Ahead on a New Journey, Books Enrich China,” is hosted by the National Press and Publication Administration, the Shandong Provincial People’s Government, and the Jinan Municipal People’s Government; and organized by the Shandong Provincial Press and Publication Bureau, the Linyi Municipal People’s Government, the Propaganda Department of the Jinan Municipal Party Committee, the Jinan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the Publishers Association of China, the China Book and Periodical Distribution Association, the Shandong Publishing Group, and the Jinan Publishing House. The main venue of this Book Fair is set at the Jinan Shandong International Exhibition Center, with a total of 8 exhibition halls covering an area of nearly 100,000 square meters. Among them, Hall 3 will host the Beijing-based publications exhibition (including China Publishing Group) and the Shandong publications exhibition; Halls 4 and 5 will host exhibition areas for other provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, as well as a green printing exhibition; Halls 1 and 2 will host a special sales area for public benefit and a special exhibition area for private book distribution enterprises; Hall 6 will host a rural bookstore exhibition area, an intangible cultural heritage, cultural creativity, and study tour exhibition area, and an art book fair; Halls 7 and 8 will host standard exhibition areas for private book distribution enterprises. At the same time, a sub-venue will be set up in Linyi City, and book fair special events will be held in Xinhua Bookstores across all counties (cities, districts) in the province. This Book Fair focuses on creating a “Digital Book Fair,” “Public Benefit Book Fair,” “Nationwide Book Fair,” and “Cultural Book Fair,” fully showcasing the fruitful achievements of high-quality development in China’s publishing industry in the New Era, promoting exchange and transactions, mobilizing broad participation from the whole society, and striving to make it a publishing event with prominent themes, distinctive features, innovative ideas, and excellent efficiency.

1. Manuscript Requirements: Adhere to the correct political direction, closely follow the theme, with substantial materials, thorough reasoning, and a strong academic focus; must be the result of independent research, not previously published; length should be 8,000–10,000 characters, with 3–5 keywords and an abstract of no more than 300 characters; citations and historical materials must be accurate and rigorous, with sources clearly indicated (format should follow *Marxist Studies*); at the end of the text, please include the author’s brief biography, contact phone number, WeChat ID, and email address.

1.文稿要求：坚持正确的政治方向，紧扣主题，材料翔实，说理充分，突出学术性；必须是独立研究的成果，此前未公开发表；篇幅以8000-10000字为宜，并附3-5个关键词和300字以内的内容摘要；引文和史料准确严谨，并请注明出处（格式请参照《马克思主义研究》）；文末请附作者简介、联系电话、微信号码、电子邮箱等信息。
