2023 International Communist Movement Development Trends and International Communist Movement Yellow Book Editorial Committee Meeting Held in Wuhu

On November 26, 2023, the International Communist Movement Research Department of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the School of Marxism of Wannan Medical College jointly held the "2023 International Communist Movement Development Trends and International Communist Movement Yellow Book Editorial Committee Meeting" in Wuhu, Anhui. Participating scholars discussed new trends in the development of the international communist movement, and experts from the International Communist Movement Yellow Book Steering Committee provided guidance on the selection of topics for the International Communist Movement Yellow Book (2023-2024). Hu Zhenliang, Guo Qiang, Zhu Kexin, Xuan Chuanshu, Xu Qinfa, Yuan Qun, Yu Weihai, and other experts and scholars from the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC (National Academy of Governance), the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Central China Normal University, Guangxi University, Shandong University, Liaoning University, Yunnan University, and Soochow University, along with some of the Yellow Book's authors, totaling more than 20 people, attended the meeting.

2023年11月26日，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院国际共产主义运动研究部与皖南医学院马克思主义学院在安徽芜湖合作举办了“2023年国际共运发展态势暨国际共运黄皮书编委会会议”。与会学者就国际共运发展新态势进行了研讨，国际共运黄皮书指导委员会专家对国际共运黄皮书（2023-2024）选题进行指导。胡振良、郭强、朱可欣、轩传树、徐秦法、袁群、余维海等来自中共中央党校（国家行政学院）、上海社会科学院、华中师范大学、广西大学、山东大学、辽宁大学、云南大学和苏州大学等的专家学者和黄皮书的部分作者共计20余人出席本次会议。

Professor Tao Tingma, Dean of the School of Marxism of Wannan Medical College, delivered the opening address. He fully affirmed the publication of the International Communist Movement Yellow Book and its social impact, and expressed the hope for strengthened cooperation with the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in the future. Researcher Pan Jine, Director of the International Communist Movement Research Department and Editor-in-Chief of the International Communist Movement Yellow Book, chaired the meeting and introduced the rationale and main topics for the 2023-2024 International Communist Movement Yellow Book. She emphasized that this volume will focus on the new developments in the international communist movement and world socialism in 2023 against the backdrop of the accelerated evolution of changes unseen in a century, [1]1 changes unseen in a century: A phrase used by the CPC leadership to describe the current era of global instability and transformation, often linked to shifts in the international order and the rise of China. concentrate on reflecting the latest developments in Chinese-path modernization and their global impact, interpret the characteristics of the development trends of socialist countries and communist parties worldwide, and offer a forecast of development trends for 2024. The participating experts and scholars discussed the development trends of the international communist movement, and on this basis provided specific guidance on the selection of topics for the International Communist Movement Yellow Book (2023-2024), broadening the perspective for its writing and further clarifying the topic selection approach and writing framework.

皖南医学院马克思主义学院院长陶庭马教授致开幕词。他对国际共运黄皮书的出版及其社会影响给予充分肯定，并希望今后与中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院加强合作。国际共运研究部主任、国际共运黄皮书主编潘金娥研究员主持会议，并对2023-2024年国际共运黄皮书选题思路和主要选题做了介绍，强调本册报告将聚焦百年未有之大变局加速演进背景下2023年国际共产主义运动和世界社会主义的发展新态势，集中反映中国式现代化的最新发展及其世界影响，诠释世界社会主义国家和各国共产党的发展态势特征，并对2024年发展态势进行展望。与会专家学者围绕国际共运发展态势进行了讨论，在此基础上对国际共运黄皮书（2023-2024）的选题进行了具体指导，为国际共运黄皮书的写作拓展了视野，进一步明确了选题思路和写作框架。

Finally, Researcher Pan Jine stated that with the support of experts and scholars, she would continue to compile the International Communist Movement Yellow Book well, strive to contribute to the development of the discipline of the international communist movement, and expressed sincere gratitude to the experts of the Steering Committee for their meticulous guidance and strong support over the years.
