Notice on Holding the Theoretical Symposium to Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and Study and Implement the Spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and is a crucial year for achieving the goals and tasks of the 14th Five-Year Plan. To deeply study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC, and to review and summarize the development process, major achievements, and experience and insights of the Party and the state’s various undertakings since the founding of New China, the “Theoretical Symposium to Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and Study and Implement the Spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC” is jointly hosted by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Soochow University, and co-organized by the Department of Research on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the School of Marxism of Soochow University. It is scheduled to be held from November 1 to 3, 2024, in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. We sincerely invite scholars and experts to write papers around the conference theme and attend the symposium. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:

今年是中华人民共和国成立75周年，是实现“十四五”规划目标任务的关键一年。为深入学习贯彻习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想和党的二十届三中全会精神，回顾和总结新中国成立以来党和国家各项事业的发展历程、主要成就和经验启示，由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院、苏州大学联合主办，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院马克思主义中国化研究部、苏州大学马克思主义学院等联合承办“庆祝中华人民共和国成立75周年暨学习贯彻党的二十届三中全会精神理论研讨会”，拟于2024年11月1日—3日在江苏苏州召开，诚邀广大专家学者围绕会议主题撰写论文并拨冗赴会研讨。现将有关事项公告如下：

IV. Submission Requirements

四、征文要求

1. This conference adopts a paper-based participation method. Submissions will be reviewed by experts, and invitation letters will be sent to selected authors. Specific arrangements for the conference will be notified separately. Scholars and experts engaged in Marxist theory and related disciplines, as well as doctoral students in Marxist theory, are welcome to actively submit papers. Papers may be written on topics related to the conference theme, with self-selected perspectives and self-determined titles. The paper length should be around 10,000 to 15,000 words, with a clear theme, correct viewpoints, rigorous argumentation, academic and innovative quality, and must not have been previously published.

1.本次会议采取以文参会方式，来稿经专家评审后，向入选者发送参会邀请函，会议具体安排另行通知。欢迎全国从事马克思主义理论及相关学科研究的专家学者、马克思主义理论专业博士研究生积极投稿。可围绕会议选题，自选角度，自拟题目。论文篇幅以1.0—1.5万字为宜，主题鲜明，观点正确，论证清晰，体现学术性和创新性，且未公开发表。

2. Format requirements: A4 paper format, default margins. The main text of the paper must be preceded by a title, author’s name and affiliation, an abstract (around 300 words), and keywords (3–5). References should uniformly adopt footnote format (specifically referring to the submission style requirements of *Studies on Marxism* and *Journal of Soochow University (Philosophy and Social Sciences Edition)*). Author information (including name, affiliation, position/title, phone number, email, mailing address, etc.) should be attached at the end.

2. 版式要求：A4纸版式、默认页边距。论文正文前须有标题、作者姓名及单位、内容提要（300字左右）、关键词（3—5个），参考文献统一采用脚注形式（具体参照《马克思主义研究》《苏州大学学报》（哲学社会科学版）投稿体例要求），作者简介（含姓名、单位、职务职称、联系电话、邮箱、通信地址等）附在文末。

3. Font requirements: The article title should use three-point bold SimHei font; the author’s name and affiliation should use four-point KaiTi font; the abstract and keywords should use small four-point FangSong font; headings at various levels should be “I, II, III…, (I), (II), (III)…, 1, 2, 3…,” where first-level headings use four-point bold SimHei font, second-level headings use small four-point bold SimSun font, third-level headings use small four-point SimSun font, footnotes use five-point SimSun font, and the main text and author information use small four-point SimSun font. Line spacing should uniformly use 1.5 times spacing.

3. 字体要求：文章标题使用三号加粗黑体字，作者姓名及单位使用四号楷体字，内容提要、关键词使用小四号仿宋体字，各级标题分别为“一、二、三……，（一）、（二）、（三）……，1、2、3……”，其中一级标题使用四号黑体字、二级标题使用小四号加粗宋体字、三级标题使用小四号宋体字，脚注采用五号宋体字，正文与作者简介使用小四号宋体字。行间距统一使用1.5倍行距。

After the submission deadline, our university will organize experts to review the submitted papers in accordance with the principles of openness, fairness, and impartiality. The list of selected papers will be published before October 20. Please follow the “Suda Ma Yuan” WeChat public account for the list of selected papers. After the conference, outstanding papers will be published in the collected volume *Studies on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context*.

征文结束后，我校将组织专家按照公开、公平、公正的原则，对应征论文进行评审，并于10月20日前发布入选名单，入选名单请大家关注“苏大马院”公众号。会后将优秀论文在《马克思主义中国化研究》集刊出版。

Please send the electronic version of the paper as a Word document to the conference email address: cnstwenjuan@163.com. The email subject and file name should both be formatted as “Affiliation + Name + Paper Title.” The deadline for submission is October 18, 2024.
