Notice on Call for Papers for the First Academic Symposium on “Marxism and Agricultural and Rural Modernization”

In order to implement and carry out the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses on agricultural and rural modernization, to deeply study the important achievements and valuable experience of China’s agricultural and rural modernization, and to strengthen the Marxist right to speak and the right to interpret in the field of “agriculture, rural areas, and farmers” research, the New Collective Economic Research Branch of the Chinese Political Economy Society, Sichuan Agricultural University, and the Marxist Research Branch of the China Higher Education Society jointly organize the First Academic Symposium on “Marxism and Agricultural and Rural Modernization.” The specific arrangements are as follows:

为贯彻落实习近平总书记关于农业农村现代化重要论述精神，深入研究中国农业农村现代化的重要成就、宝贵经验，加强“三农”研究领域的马克思主义话语权、阐释权，中国政治经济学学会新型集体经济研究分会、四川农业大学、中国高等教育学会马克思主义研究分会联合举办首届“马克思主义与农业农村现代化”学术研讨会。具体安排如下：

Time: July 4, 2025 – July 6, 2025 (Registration from 14:00 on July 4; full-day conference on July 5; departure on July 6)

时间：2025年7月4日—7月6日（7月4日下午14:00报到，7月5日全天会议，7月6日离会）

Location: In-person conference; venue is at the Chengdu Campus of Sichuan Agricultural University (No. 211 Huimin Road, Wenjiang District, Chengdu)

地点：线下会议，会场设在四川农业大学成都校区（成都市温江区惠民路211号）

IV. Participation Method

四、参会方式

Participation is by paper submission, with invitations extended on a selective basis. Teachers and students from across the country in Marxist theory and related humanities and social sciences disciplines are welcome to submit papers.

以文入会，择优邀请。全国马克思主义理论及人文社会科学相关专业的师生均可投稿。

Interested teachers and students should fill out the submission receipt (obtainable by scanning the QR code for the submission receipt in the lower left corner) and send the conference paper (which may be previously published) to the registration email address. The organizing committee will organize experts to review and select submissions, and will issue formal conference invitation letters to selected participants before June 25; if not selected, no further notice will be given, and we ask for your understanding. This conference charges no conference fee. The conference organizers will provide meals for participants. Travel and accommodation expenses are to be borne by participants.

有意参会的师生请填写投稿回执（扫描左下角投稿回执二维码获取），并将参会论文（可以是已发表的）发至报名邮箱。组委会将组织专家审核评选，并于6月25日前对入选人员发出会议正式邀请函；如未入选，不再另行通知，敬请谅解。本次会议不收取任何会议费。会议承办方将为参会人员提供会议餐饮。往来交通、住宿费用敬请自理。

Paper format requirements are as follows:

论文格式要求如下：

1. The paper should be 6,000–12,000 words in length, and should include an abstract (within 300 words), keywords (3–5), and an author biography (name, date of birth, institution, department, research direction, and contact phone number).

1.字数以6000-12000字为宜，应包括内容摘要（300字以内）、关键词（3—5个）、作者简介（姓名，出生年月，学校，院系，研究方向，联系电话）。

2. The paper font should be Simplified Chinese Song typeface. Titles and subtitles should be in size 3 font, the main text in size 5 font, with single line spacing. Notes should use footnotes in size 5.5 font; the abstract and keywords should be in size 5 font.

2.论文字体为简体中文宋体。标题副标题均为三号字体，正文为五号字体，单倍行距，注释采用脚注、小五号字体，内容摘要、关键词为五号字体。

3. The format for references and notes should follow the journal *Marxist Studies*.

3.参考文献和注释格式请参照《马克思主义研究》杂志。

Applicants should send the Word document of the conference paper and the submission receipt by email to nyncxdhltmyh@163.com before 12:00 noon on June 20, 2025. The email subject line, submission receipt, and conference paper should be named in the format “Author’s Name + Contact Phone Number.”

报名者请将参会论文Word文档和投稿回执以电子邮件方式于2025年6月20日中午12:00之前发送至nyncxdhltmyh@163.com。邮件主题、投稿回执和参会论文以“作者姓名+联系电话”命名。
