Call for Papers: The 16th Academic Forum on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context

In order to deeply study and expound Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, deeply grasp the inner logic and contemporary value of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times, deeply explore the contemporary path and basic methods of constructing an independent Chinese knowledge system, and enhance academic exchange among researchers nationwide on adapting Marxism to the Chinese context, the 16th Academic Forum on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context is to be held on 10 May 2026 in Lanzhou, Gansu Province. It is co-hosted by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Lanzhou University, jointly organized by the Department of Research on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the School of Marxism of Lanzhou University, and the School of Marxism of the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and co-organized by the Think Tank for Marxist Theoretical Innovation of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Research Center for National Cultural Security and Ideological Construction of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the editorial office of *Studies on Marxism*, and the editorial office of *Studies on World Socialism*. Papers are now solicited from academic colleagues nationwide; all are welcome to attend the forum by submitting a paper.

为深入研究阐释习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想，深入把握马克思主义中国化时代化的内在逻辑和时代价值，深入探讨构建中国自主知识体系的时代路径和基本方法，增进全国马克思主义中国化研究工作者的学术交流，由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院、兰州大学联合主办，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院马克思主义中国化研究部、兰州大学马克思主义学院、中国社会科学院大学马克思主义学院联合承办，中国社会科学院马克思主义理论创新智库、中国社会科学院国家文化安全与意识形态建设研究中心、《马克思主义研究》编辑部、《世界社会主义研究》编辑部协办的第十六届马克思主义中国化学术论坛，拟于2026年5月10日在甘肃省兰州市举行。现面向全国学界同仁征集论文，欢迎诸位以文赴会。

This forum adopts a paper-based attendance method. Researchers, teaching staff, and graduate students from national research institutions, universities, Party schools, and other units are sincerely invited to actively submit papers.

本次论坛采取以文入会方式，诚邀全国科研机构、高校、党校等单位的研究人员、教学人员、研究生等积极投稿。

Submission requirements:

稿件要求：

1. Correct stance, clear theme, rigorous logic, integration of history and theory, reflecting academic nature and innovation, with high theoretical and practical value;

1.立场正确、主题鲜明、逻辑严谨、史论结合，体现学术性和创新性，具有较高的理论和实践价值；

2. Papers must be new works not yet published, generally 8,000–12,000 characters in length, using page-footnotes, specifically following the publication format of *Studies on Marxism*. An abstract (approx. 300 characters), keywords (3–5), author biography, and detailed contact information should be attached before the main text.

2.论文为尚未发表的新作，字数一般为8000-12000字，采用页下脚注，具体请以《马克思主义研究》的刊发格式为准。正文前附内容摘要（300字左右）、关键词（3—5个），作者简介及详细联系方式。

This forum charges no registration fee. Transportation, accommodation, and other expenses during the conference are to be borne by participants. After selection by the expert review committee, the organizing committee will send conference invitation letters to selected authors by 30 April. The conference will recommend outstanding papers to *Studies on Marxism* and *Studies on World Socialism* for publication.

本次论坛不收取会务费，会议期间交通费、住宿费等自理。经专家评审委员会评选后，会务组将在4月30日前向入选作者发出会议邀请函。会议将遴选优秀论文向《马克思主义研究》《世界社会主义研究》推荐发表。
