The Society for the History of the People’s Republic of China Holds Elections for Its Seventh Council, Standing Council, and Leadership

China Social Sciences Net News On June 15, the Society for the History of the People’s Republic of China convened its Seventh First Membership Representative Conference and the First Meeting of the Seventh Council in Beijing, electing a new council, standing council, and leadership. Fifty-nine individuals, including Yu Zhiwei, were elected as council members; 18 individuals, including Wang Qiaorong, were elected as standing council members; Jin Minqing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Editor-in-Chief of the *Journal of Social Sciences of China*, was elected as President; Li Zhenghua, Deputy Director of the Institute of Contemporary China Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Song Yuehong, Deputy Director and Head of the Discipline Inspection Group, Li Guoqiang, Member of the CASS Academic Division and Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Chinese Academy of History, Zhang Taiyuan, Director of the Party History Teaching and Research Department at the Central Party School (National Academy of Governance), Gong Yun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Economics at CASS, and Zhou Xin, Deputy Director of the Research Center for the History of the PLA and the Chinese Communist Party at the Academy of Military Sciences’ Institute of Military Political Work, were elected as Vice Presidents. Song Yuehong concurrently serves as Secretary-General. The Society will promptly report to the Ministry of Civil Affairs in accordance with procedures to complete the registration of the new council and leadership.

中国社会科学网讯 6月15日，中华人民共和国国史学会在北京召开第七届第一次会员代表大会暨第七届理事会第一次会议，选举产生新一届理事会、常务理事会和学会负责人。于之伟等59人当选理事，王巧荣等18人当选常务理事，中国社会科学杂志社党委书记、总编辑金民卿当选会长，中国社会科学院当代中国研究所副所长李正华、副所长兼纪检组组长宋月红，中国社会科学院学部委员，中国历史研究院党委常委、副院长李国强，中共中央党校（国家行政学院）中共党史教研部主任张太原，中国社会科学院经济研究所党委书记龚云，军事科学院军队政治工作研究院解放军党史军史研究中心副主任周鑫等当选副会长，宋月红兼任秘书长。国史学会将按程序及时报民政部完成新一届理事会及负责人备案登记。
