Many of his important expositions are included in the first volume of *Selected Economic Works of Xi Jinping*. For instance, "On Constructing the New Development Pattern" states: "This Central Committee plenary session has made a strategic deployment for coordinating development and security, which has significant guiding importance for better advancing China's economic and social development in a complex environment." "Chinese-Path Modernization Depends on Scientific and Technological Modernization as a Support" states: "Adhere to innovation-led development, firmly establish the concept that grasping innovation means grasping development and planning innovation means planning the future, use scientific and technological innovation to lead high-quality development and ensure high-level security," and so on. To this end, we must firmly establish and practice the concept that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, unswervingly follow the path of ecological priority and green development, coordinate industrial restructuring, pollution control, ecological protection, and climate change response, and synergistically advance carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion, and economic growth, accelerating the formation of green production methods and lifestyles. At the same time, we must recognize that the more we open up and develop, the more we must properly handle the relationship between opening up and security, weave a tight and dense safety net for opening up, and ensure the dynamic maintenance of national security in an open environment. Food and drug safety concerns the health and life safety of every individual. Effectively strengthening food and drug safety supervision, using the most rigorous standards, the strictest supervision, the severest penalties, and the most serious accountability, strictly guarding every line of defense from farmland to dining table and from laboratory to hospital, can ensure the "safety on the tip of the tongue" and medication safety for the people.
