From its founding, the Communist Party of China took Marxist principles of Party building as its fundamental guide. From Comrade Mao Zedong’s proposal of the Party discipline regulation “the individual is subordinate to the organization, the minority is subordinate to the majority, the lower level is subordinate to the higher level, and the entire Party is subordinate to the Central Committee,” to Comrade Deng Xiaoping’s important assertion that “the Central Committee must have authority,” and then to General Secretary Xi Jinping’s emphasis that “upholding the centralized, unified leadership of the Party Central Committee is the highest political principle,” Chinese Communists have always regarded upholding the authority of the Party Central Committee and centralized, unified leadership as a fundamental political norm and political requirement, and as the fundamental task of advancing the Party’s self-revolution. This not only embodies the firm stance of Marxism but also demonstrates a deep understanding and grasp of the theory of Marxist political party building and the laws of governance.

不折不扣地通过党的自我革命维护党中央权威和集中统一领导。以坚持党中央集中统一领导为根本保证，要求向一切弱化党的全面领导、破坏党的团结和集中统一的言行作坚决斗争。通过党的自我革命，着力整肃思想提纯党性、整顿队伍纯洁组织、整饬纲纪严明规矩，着力解决“七个有之”问题。进一步严明政治纪律和政治规矩，认真开展批评和自我批评，增强党内政治生活的政治性、时代性、原则性、战斗性，有力推动和保证风清气正的党内政治生态。完善全面从严治党制度，不断健全全面从严治党体系，不断完善党的自我革命制度规范体系，为维护党中央权威和集中统一领导提供有力制度保证。
