General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized at the National Education Conference that the strong education country we aim to build is a strong education country under socialism with Chinese characteristics, which should possess a powerful ideological and political guiding force, talent competitiveness, scientific and technological support, livelihood security, social synergy, and international influence, providing strong support for comprehensively advancing the building of a strong country and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-path modernization. The ideological and political guiding force ranks first among the "six forces." The proposal of the ideological and political guiding force is an inheritance and promotion of our Party's fine tradition of valuing ideological and political work, a summary of experience in building a strong education country under socialism with Chinese characteristics in the New Era, and a theoretical innovation and practical breakthrough in the Party's ideological and political work. It has important and far-reaching significance for realizing the strategic task of comprehensively advancing the building of a strong education country on the new journey, and provides direction guidance and fundamental compliance for the innovative development of educational work.

The ideological and political guiding force manifests the socialist foundation of education.
