Emphasizing ideological and theoretical development is an important guarantee for our Party to overcome difficulties and create great achievements. The Project of Marxist Theory Research and Development is a foundational and strategic project for the Party's ideological and theoretical development. Over the past 20 years, it has always centered on the overall work, served the overall situation, produced a large number of high-quality research results, and played an important role. General Secretary Xi Jinping has issued important instructions on the Project of Marxist Theory Research and Development in the New Era, emphasizing that "we must uphold the Two Integrations[n], take root in the soil of China, continue the Chinese cultural lineage, and consolidate the academic foundation, deeply study the major issues in the practice of comprehensively advancing the building of a strong country and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-path modernization, accelerate the construction of an independent knowledge system for Chinese philosophy and social sciences, cultivate high-quality theoretical talents, and make greater contributions to adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times." As an important platform for implementing the Project of Marxist Theory Research and Development, schools of Marxism have always regarded the study, research, and dissemination of Marxism as the foundation of their establishment and the basis of their strength, and have accumulated a series of achievements and rich experience in long-term development. On the new journey, guided by the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, schools of Marxism should become the vanguard in innovating the Project of Marxist Theory Research and Development.

注重思想理论建设是我们党攻坚克难、开创伟业的重要保证。马克思主义理论研究和建设工程是党的思想理论建设的基础工程、战略工程，20年来始终围绕中心、服务大局，推出了一大批高质量研究成果，发挥了重要作用。习近平总书记对新时代马克思主义理论研究和建设工程作出重要指示，强调“要坚持‘两个结合’，扎根中国大地、赓续中华文脉、厚植学术根基，深入研究以中国式现代化全面推进强国建设、民族复兴伟业实践中的重大问题，加快构建中国哲学社会科学自主知识体系，培养高素质理论人才，为推进马克思主义中国化时代化作出更大贡献”。作为实施马克思主义理论研究和建设工程的重要平台,马克思主义学院一直将学习研究宣传马克思主义作为立院之本、强院之基，并在长期建设中积累形成了系列成果和丰富经验。新征程上以习近平总书记重要指示精神为指导创新马克思主义理论研究和建设工程，马克思主义学院理应成为排头兵。

Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era is the theoretical crystallization formed in great practice and great transformation, the latest achievement in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times, and the Marxism of contemporary China and the Marxism of the 21st century. It is rich in content and profound in discourse, and as soon as it was proposed, the theoretical community carried out extensive research and interpretation. Schools of Marxism are the main force in researching and interpreting Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. 做深化习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想体系化、学理化研究阐释的排头兵。习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想是在伟大实践和伟大变革中形成的理论结晶，是马克思主义中国化时代化最新成果，是当代中国马克思主义、21世纪马克思主义，内容丰富，论述精深，甫一提出，理论界就广泛开展了研究阐释。马克思主义学院是研究阐释习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想的主力军，深化习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想体系化、学理化研究阐释，一方面需要马克思主义学院不断增加研究定力，磨炼写作笔力，强化思考功力，着力推动重大理论和实践问题研究往深里走、往实里走；另一方面需要马克思主义学院以更加真诚开放的态度，更加及时可行的举措，积极优化学科布局，主动完善学科平台，努力聚合优质资源，牵头组建优势团队，以马克思主义学科群的力量，展开有组织、跨学科、协同式的研究阐释，以“集体攻关”而不是“单兵作战”、以“头脑风暴”而不是“闭门造车”的方式不断提高研究阐释的系统性和精深度。

At present, colleges and universities across the country have all offered the course "Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era." Schools of Marxism have always shouldered the important task of cultivating talents for disseminating and researching the Party's innovative theories. The "Opinions on Strengthening the Development of Schools of Marxism in the New Era" issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee in 2021 proposed striving to build a strong position for Marxist theory education and teaching, research and dissemination, and talent cultivation. The important task of disseminating and researching Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era must be undertaken by high-quality theoretical talents with firm political positions, solid foundational knowledge, keen theoretical sensitivity, familiarity with the laws of dissemination, and a clear understanding of research norms. Although other relevant schools and disciplines can also cultivate talents in this regard, schools of Marxism, the discipline of Marxist theory, and the disciplines of CPC history and Party building undoubtedly have clearer responsibilities and more obvious advantages. 做培养宣传研究习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想高素质理论人才的排头兵。马克思主义学院始终肩负着培养宣传研究党的创新理论人才的重任。中共中央办公厅2021年印发的《关于加强新时代马克思主义学院建设的意见》提出，着力打造马克思主义理论教育教学、研究宣传和人才培养的坚强阵地。宣传研究习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想的重任，要由政治立场坚定、基础知识扎实、理论嗅觉敏锐、熟知宣传规律、清楚研究规范的高素质理论人才承担。虽然其他相关院系和学科也可以培养这方面的人才，但是马克思主义学院、马克思主义理论学科及中共党史党建学科无疑具有更明确的责任和更明显的优势。马克思主义学院可以通过优化专业设置、优化培养方案、优化课程体系、优化生源结构等方式，实现党的创新理论体系化学理化宣传研究人才的本硕博一体化高质量培养。
